Being The Real Version
Just try to be yourself, because the more you try to be someone else, the more away you move from yourself.. you can never be someone else..
Teachers today are under so much of a hurry to give results desired by the school leadership that they start following other teachers without finding their own selves. The teacher who renders results is followed. This leads to a stage where in a teacher seizes to develop his/her own methods of teaching and innovating and hence lands up being a stereotype.
So, just be yourself. Accept yourself as you are. Choose teaching for life and not just livelihood. Unless you are your own , you can’t spread the light of others on your learners. What you can do the best for your learners is to give them the way to have their own light and this is possible only when you have your own.
I know ,its not only difficult but also very pricy , to be oneself. It might cost our comfort , our mindset and even our ego. But this is the best way for a teacher if at all the teacher realizes that the teacher is a teacher only when the learner learns and knows what the learner should.
A lot is expected from you , what do you expect from yourself ?
This is very important aspect of being a teacher. Its not just about knowing something about a subject and transferring the same to the seeker. Its about making the same subject look wonderfully simple and understandable for the seeker.
Expectations come from all around , from the learner , from the school leadership and from the parents. You cannot fool all of the altogether. So better be the best version of your own.
Its very important to have a single version of your own.
The more the versions , the more the problem in managing all simultaneously. All the expecting groups are extremely closely connected. Without being fictitious, be realistic.
